Editorial Policy

1. Who We Are
learnityourself.in is published by Indraprastha Innovations Private Limited (IIPL), a company incorporated in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The brand “Learn it Yourself ®” is a Class 41 registered trademark.
2. What We Cover
We publish structured learning content in English grammar, Telugu Vyakaranam, exam preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, SSC, IBPS, CAT, UPSC), and financial literacy. Each topic is taught with bilingual examples in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, or Malayalam where applicable.
3. Editorial Standards
3.1 Source policy
Every factual claim is sourced from at least one authoritative reference: published grammar texts (Wren & Martin, Cambridge), official exam syllabi (SSC, IBPS, IELTS, TOEFL boards), or for financial topics — the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Income Tax Department of India, and other government / regulatory bodies. Citations appear inline within the chapter and as a sources list at the chapter footer.
3.2 Author and reviewer credentials
Every chapter carries a named author byline. For YMYL topics (financial literacy, exam preparation that affects livelihood), every chapter additionally carries a named reviewer with relevant credentials (CFP, CA, MBA-Finance, certified language trainer, or domain equivalent). Author and reviewer profiles, including credentials and LinkedIn, are linked from each chapter and live at /authors/[name]/.
3.3 Review cadence
Each chapter displays a visible “Last reviewed” date. Our minimum review cadence is:
- Grammar / language chapters — reviewed every 24 months
- Exam preparation chapters — reviewed every 12 months or whenever the exam board changes its syllabus, whichever comes first
- Financial literacy chapters — reviewed every 12 months and immediately after the Union Budget each February
- Tax / regulatory content — reviewed within 30 days of any RBI / SEBI / CBDT notification that materially changes the topic
3.4 Bilingual translation
Translations into Indian languages are produced by native speakers with documented teaching or translation experience. We do not auto-translate via machine translation; we use machine translation only as a first-pass aid that a human editor then revises and signs off on.
4. Independence and Conflict of Interest
Our content is editorially independent of any advertiser, affiliate, or third-party sponsor. Where a page mentions a specific commercial product (e.g. a mutual fund category, a banking exam coaching brand), the mention is for educational illustration only and does not constitute an endorsement. Any affiliate relationship is disclosed at /affiliate-disclosure/.
5. Generative AI Disclosure
We use generative AI tools as a writing aid (drafting, summarising, converting source material into structured chapters). Every AI-assisted draft is reviewed and revised by a named human author before publication. We do not publish unedited AI output. Where a calculator or quiz uses algorithmic logic, the formula is documented inline so readers can verify it.
6. Corrections and Reader Feedback
If you find a factual error, broken example, or outdated regulatory reference, please write to editorial@learnityourself.in with the URL and a description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge within 5 working days and to publish a correction (with a visible “Corrected on [date]” note at the top of the chapter) within 14 days where the error is confirmed.
