Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: April 2026
1. Plain-English Summary
Some of the outbound links on learnityourself.in are affiliate links. If you click such a link and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We use the income to keep the core platform free for learners.
2. Where We Use Affiliate Links
- Amazon India Associates— we link to physical books (e.g. Wren & Martin, exam-prep titles, dictionaries, calculators) on Amazon.in. We are an Amazon Associate and earn from qualifying purchases. Tag identifier appears in the URL after
?tag=. - Exam-prep partners (selective)— for IELTS / TOEFL mock-test platforms and selected coaching courses, we may link via partner programmes that pay a referral fee on enrollment. Where we do, the link is marked “partner link” near the call to action.
- Financial literacy chapters (when launched) — for qualifying mentions of banking products, mutual fund houses, or credit-score services, an affiliate relationship will be declared at the top of the relevant chapter and at the link itself.
3. What We Do Not Do
- We do not let affiliates choose what we write about, what we recommend, or what we leave out.
- We do not take editorial direction, draft text, or pre-approval rights from any affiliate or advertiser.
- We do not link to financial products that we would not recommend to a family member with the same profile.
- We do not suggest specific buy / sell recommendations on individual stocks, mutual fund schemes, or insurance products. Educational comparisons of categories are fine; product-specific buy recommendations are not.
- For YMYL finance topics, we link to product pages only after the user has read the full educational explanation; affiliate links never lead the chapter.
4. How to Identify an Affiliate Link
Affiliate links carry a rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute and, where context is not obvious, are visibly labelled (“partner link” or “affiliate link”) in the surrounding text. A standalone Amazon button is always an affiliate link by default.
5. Advertising
Separately from affiliate links, we display advertisements served by Google AdSense. AdSense ads are not affiliate links — we receive a per-impression / per-click payment from Google and have no direct relationship with the advertised product. AdSense placement is governed by Google's policies; for cookies set by AdSense, see our Cookie Policy.
6. SEBI / RBI Note (Finance Content)
We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, research analyst, or mutual fund distributor. We do not provide investment advice as defined under SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013. Educational content on personal finance, taxation, and exam-relevant banking topics is provided for general learning only and must not be relied on as personalised financial advice. See our Disclaimer.
