Present Perfect
Formula
Subject + has/have + past participle (V3)
When to Use
- Actions completed but connected to the present
- Life experiences (ever/never)
- Recent actions with present effects
- With signal words: just, already, yet, recently, since, for
Memory Tip
Present Perfect = PAST action with PRESENT connection. "I have lost my keys" — losing happened in the past but the keys are STILL missing NOW. It is a bridge between past and present!
English Explanation
Present Perfect connects a past action to the present moment. We use it when the exact time is not important or not mentioned.
